It was a disappointing outing for our Eastern Suburbs 2nd, who fell to Hawkesbury 2nd in a tough outing.
Batting first, Hawkesbury 2nd posted 8/220 from 50 overs. Fifty for Ben Boxshall, who made 88 for our opponents. Sam Greenland grabbed three for 33.
Our chase ended at 96 from 38.1 overs. Greenland led the way with 34 off 73 balls with two fours. Lachlan Boyd returned three for 15 for the hosts.
Our opponents were simply too good on the day.
The team will be keen to bounce back.
