Good news from our Eastern Suburbs 4th, who knocked over Fairfield-Liverpool 4th with Tom Marchant leading the way.
In terms of totals, it was Eastern Suburbs 4th 4/246 and Fairfield-Liverpool 4th 10/102 and 10/57. A century to Tom Marchant, who made 102 off 116 balls with six fours and four sixes. Fifty for Oliver Maxwell, who finished with 56 off 87 balls.
Ben van Emden finished with five for 12, a five-wicket haul to savour. Emden backed up well, taking four for 16. Shaun Bridges held our opponents' innings together with 40.
Big runs from our top order made the difference.
That's back-to-back wins for the side. Congratulations to all involved.
