Our Eastern Suburbs 5th overcame Fairfield-Liverpool 5th for an excellent result.
Our totals were 9/244, against Fairfield-Liverpool 5th's 227. Ashton Musgrave's 92 off 144 balls was a half-century to remember. Darcy Matthews played a handy knock of 49. William Powell chipped in with 33. Damien Aviet was the main threat for the visitors, taking four for 84.
Matthew Higham was the pick of our bowlers with two for 18. Alexander Wilson added two for 27. Fifty for Aviet, who made 54 not out for our opponents.
It was an excellent all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up.
That's nine wins on the trot for the team. Well done, team.
