At Cricket Central Oval 1, our Eastern Suburbs 1st were second best against Manly Warringah 1st in NSW Premier Cricket (Men's) action.
Manly Warringah 1st's innings ended at 5/380, ours at 10/241. A classy 54 off 47 balls from Nicolas Maddinson was the highlight. Solid support came from Matthew Moran, who made 46. Trystan Kennedy made 45 off 87 balls. Credit to Charles Stobo, who claimed a five-wicket haul (five for 66) for our opponents.
With the ball, Nick Palmer did the damage, claiming four for 79 off 32 overs. Ahillen Beadle made a fine 116 for the visitors, a century worth applauding. Our opponents' Oliver Davies made a polished 113.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
Well played to the visitors.
