It was a day to regroup for our Eastern Suburbs 2nd, who came up short against Randwick Petersham 2nd in a tough outing.
Batting first, we were all out for 133 in 40.4 overs. A classy 71 off 122 balls from Adam Sidhu was the highlight.
In reply, Randwick Petersham 2nd passed our total, finishing on 0/137 in 22.5 overs. Fifty for Blake Weymouth, who made 76 not out for the hosts. Ross Elliot made a stylish 55 not out for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
Congratulations to the hosts on the win.
