Our Eastern Suburbs 4th had to settle for a loss as they came up short against St George 4th on home soil.
St George 4th made 9/382, and we made 212. Leading the way was Finlay Carter with 45 off 106 balls. There were also handy runs from Thomas Hardy (35). Shivansh Pathak bowled cleverly for our opponents, a five-wicket haul of five for 36.
Ashton Musgrave returned figures of four for 65 off twelve overs. A century to george Kazakonis for the visitors: 109. Kurt Chalker made a classy 89 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
The side will be keen to bounce back.
