There was no joy for our Eastern Suburbs 1st, who were denied by St George 1st.
St George 1st batted first and reached 8/237 from 50 overs. Luke Bartier passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 62. Marcus Atallah was the pick of our bowlers with three for 27.
Our chase ended at 159 from 40.1 overs. Trystan Kennedy brought up a quality half-century, finishing with 63 off 101 balls. Matthew Moran made 38 off 34 balls. Reiley Mark was the best of the visitors' bowlers, finishing with four for 25.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. The team will be keen to turn things around after two straight losses.
Chins up, everyone.
